The Rev. Dr. Patrick Cheng is an adjunct professor at Episcopal Divinity School at Union Theological Seminary. A priest in the Diocese of New York, Dr. Cheng serves as Theologian in Residence at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. He holds a B.A. from Yale College, aJ.D. from Harvard Law School, and a Ph.D. from Union Theological Seminary,where he studied with the late Dr. James Cone. Dr. Cheng is the author of three books on contemporary theology, each of which has been translated into Chinese,Japanese, and/or Korean.
